Belly Dance Journal

Do you keep a dance journal? You should. Keeping a journal is one of the fastest ways to improve. It's one of my New Year's Resolutions to get better about keeping up my journal. I've been avoiding writing in it during my regular classes and just writing it in during workshops or special events. What is a dance journal? It's a place to keep track of your progress and the moves you've been learning. You can use a journal, notebook, sketchbook, onenote, the format doesn't matter as long as you like it and want to write in it. What do I put in my journal? Who or what I am learning from. This could be an instructor, book, DVD, other dancer, YouTube video. If it's hard to locate I'll make sure I bookmark the source in case I need to return to it later.  The Date. I date each practice just for a progress reference. Things I am having trouble with. Things I want to practice later. New moves or moves giving me trouble. Things I felt I made prog
